When it comes to bring your boyfriend, or girlfriend, or just a ‘ffriend,’ over for the holidays, you have to get permission before hand. Or do you? 

It depends…

Should you be allowed to sleep in the same room? 

“The answer is yes, if you above the age of 21, and have been committed to this person for around 3 months. If you are like, 18, and want your boyfriend to sleep over, it will probably be a no from any parent, usually.”

Should you be able to sleep in the same bed?

“The answer is yes, if you above the age of 21, and have been committed to this person for around 4 or 5 months, but it obviously depends on how mature you and your family are. For example, if you’re 20 and you want to have your boyfriend sleep over, and you’ve been dating and committed for 6 or 7 months, then it might be acceptable. “

This isn’t a simple situation to discuss because of the parent, age, and duration/seriousness factors; the true tell about this situation is that if you are really in love, then sleeping in separate beds for a couple nights won’t be hard. Just be sneaky ha-ha!
