Finding Love in the New Year

In order to find love in 2023, try these suggestions to help you find love this new year!

Focus on yourself, and being the best you can be, both mentally and physically. Reflect inward! Make a list of your great qualities and also a list of any areas that you would like to improve on. Work on trying to be the best you possible!

Look for your five must-haves, not ten, not twenty…five!! Make sure you have these same qualities. Your five must-haves should not include looks. By looking for compatibility, you will see that chemistry can grow but not the other way around. Don’t waste your time dating someone because of initial attraction, only to find out that you are not compatible after six months. Compatibility breeds chemistry – the two intangibles of dating – not always the other way around. Find someone who has the intangibles, personality of someone you’d want to fall in love with and the chemistry will come!

Shed negative energy or pessimistic thoughts about not being able to find the love of your life. Be confident in yourself and who you are. Get out of your comfort zone. Don’t be afraid to try new things. For example, if you take a daily walk for exercise every morning, try to take a different route each day. This will give you the opportunity to meet new people. If you go to the same supermarket, dry cleaners, etc., switch it up and go to different places. This will add to your exposure of meeting more single people.

Set realistic goals in the coming new year, and most importantly, love yourself!
