Julie Sanchez, a business operations consultant in Orcutt, Calf., recently celebrated her 15th wedding anniversary — a milestone that she wasn’t sure she would hit, given the recent strain politics has brought to her marriage.
“There’s a giant elephant and a giant donkey, and they’re both in the living room,” was how Ms. Sanchez, 59, a registered Democrat, described the situation.
