A Few Tips for Finding Love this Summer
- Tell everyone you know that you are looking for a committed relationship! Specify “committed,” or you may receive lots of invites for dates with those not looking for a commitment.
- Get yourself out there. Increase your exposure to other single people by going to places you enjoy (dining out, movies, etc.) by yourself. It is more likely that someone will approach you if you are alone rather than in a group.
- Never pass up an invitation to go out, whether it’s to a party or with a couple. Being the third wheel with your friends who are already a couple can increase your chances of meeting more people, especially through a friend.
- Smile everywhere you go and be approachable. You have a greater chance of someone approaching you when they feel comfortable doing so.
- Join clubs and activities that you enjoy. There are many clubs to join right here, especially during this time of year! Being part of a group of people doing things you enjoy or would like to learn is always a great idea.
- Start with friendship. Summer is the easiest time to meet people, and starting with a friendship helps in seeing if you are compatible or not.
